Most ex-church goers are purpose driven unchurched. They were driven out of various churches because of spiritual abuse, or because they came to the conclusion that something about church was missing. In seeking answers and truth, many followers of Jesus Christ have found that--hey--Jesus Christ does not live in a box called "church." In fact seekers of Jesus Christ have found that they can have a relationship with Christ outside of church walls and barriers. It has dawned upon many that the real Shepherd and only Head of the Spiritual Body is Jesus Christ and not pastors or churches. Countless followers of Christ have come to the conclusion that serving God is not something done as dictated by denominations and church organizations.
