News From Heaven--Interview With Jesus Christ

Jesus, I am overwhelmed to have this opportunity as a Gospel News reporter for the common man and woman, and as a personal follower of your Headship of the Body of Christ and as the Creator of the universe, I ask these questions with all respect, honor and humility.

Sir, are modern day pastors really representatives of the Living Jesus Christ, as they proclaim?

  • Matthew 7:16 "You shall know them by their fruits..."
  • Mark 13:6 "For MANY shall come in my name, saying I am Christ; and shall deceive many."
  • Matthew 7:15 "BEWARE of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
  • Matthew 7:22 "MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? And in your name have cast out devils? And in your name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, you that work iniquity."
Sir, pastors claim to have authority over your sheep, based upon certain seeming contradictory verses in the New Testament, attributed to writers other than yourself. Is pastor authority a valid truth in Christ?
  • Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters..."
  • Matthew 23:8 "But be not you called Rabbi: for ONE IS YOUR MASTER, even Christ, and ALL YOU ARE BRETHREN."
  • Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon earth: for ONE IS YOUR FATHER, which is in heaven."
  • Matthew 23:10 " Neither be you called masters: for ONE IS YOUR MASTER, even Christ."
  • Matthew 23:11 "But he that is greatest among you SHALL BE YOUR SERVANT."
  • Matthew 23:12 "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."
  • John 10:11 "I AM the GOOD SHEPHERD..."
  • John 10:16 "...And there shall be ONE FOLD, and ONE SHEPHERD."
  • John 10:27 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and THEY FOLLOW ME."
Sir, is "going to church" the way in which your followers worship?

John 4:24 "God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

Sir, is "going to church" where Jesus Christ is to be found?

Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there Am I in the midst of them."

Sir, is Saturday or Sunday the "day of rest."
  • Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST."
  • Matthew 11:29 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I Am meek and lowly in heart: and YOU SHALL FIND REST unto your souls."
Sir, do you sanction wars and should our sons and daughters be involved in the military?
  • Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
  • Matthew 5:44 "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
  • Mark 12:30 "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment."
  • Mark 12:31 "And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
  • Matthew 10:38 "And he that takes not his cross, and follows after me, is not worthy of me."
  • Matthew 10:39 "He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it."
Sir, the world of churches, as we know it, would have Christians believe that the Christian life revolves around pastors and going to church, and giving support to church organizations. Does the Christian life revolve around pastors and churches?
  • John 14:6 "Jesus said unto him, I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father but by Me."
  • John 15:12 "This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you."
  • John 5:13 "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
  • John 5:14 "You are my friends, IF YOU DO whatsoever I command you."
  • John 5:17 "These things I COMMAND YOU, that you love one another."
Sir, I thank you with all my heart for allowing me to share a few minutes with you, and I am very privileged to have direct answers to a few pertinent questions, and I know there are many other issues on the hearts and minds of many people. Basically, what I have learned from your counsel is that God is a Spirit, and He is only worshiped in spirit and in truth. Also, It is very apparent and obvious that life is really about love and loving God with all our hearts and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. True REST for our weary souls is in Jesus Christ, and customs and traditions of men are not the teachings of Christ. Basically then, what you have taught is that life is about LOVE and character, and not man-made customs.

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."
