Journey's End

by Van Robison

tunnel There comes a time in the life of every human being, when the allotted time on earth comes to the journey's end. It is somewhat astonishing how much of human life is wasted in pursuits that don't contribute to love, joy, peace and happiness, and just living a life loving the gift of life. I am of the opinion that life on earth is a prison of the minds and thinking of human beings, and that prison has millions of chains of bondage. As human beings we do not know true freedom, except in partial ways. For example, if a person was hooked on drugs in the past and through Jesus Christ they were set free, that is a form of freedom. If we are given eternal life through Jesus Christ, then we also have freedom from the loss of salvation. So while there are forms of freedom, there are endless and countless bondages that we are not free from in this life.

I personally see human nature as bondage, because human nature will kill, commit adultery, abort babies, steal, lie, rape, hate, and do many wrongs. If we could live what I would call real life, then it would have to be an existence that does not exist with human nature. On my part, if the underlying MOTIVE in LIFE was LOVE towards not only self, but all others, including God, then all life would be vastly and radically different from human life as we know it on earth. I would say that virtually all human governments would be totally unnecessary if LOVE really existed in the hearts, minds, thinking, and lives of all people.

Human governments are controlling institutions, which are self serving and which are all the enemy of freedom. Human governments are liars, thieves, murderers, unjust, unmerciful and deceitful in the extreme. Man thinks in terms of "security" which is non-existent in a world of human nature. Man sees no alternative to a military existence, and that is only because men are carnal and without love in a world of darkness. It will always be this way, so long as there is human nature, and that means that real life will only come in the next life beyond the grave for those who are given eternal life.

If you thought you lived in a "free" country, or that you have "freedom", it is only because you have not thought deeply about this issue. Imagine what life would be like if there were:

  • No human governments.
  • No taxes of any kind.
  • No interest payments on loans.
  • No insurance payments ever. (Taxes, interest on loans, and insurance of all types are the three robbers of much of the livelihood of human beings in much of the world--which means we are all slaves to money).
  • No military organizations on earth.
  • No lawyers, judges, police or prisons.
  • No certified public accountants.
  • No need for book keeping for tax purposes.
  • No audits.
  • No religious overlords.
  • No confusing religions.
  • No human organizations or institutions all of which are self serving.
  • No concrete/asphalt jungles called "cities" (towers of Babel).
Okay, so all this is a pipe dream and impossible humanly speaking, and yet it is the kind of life I would like to live. I have no faith in human governments, nor their political lords of control. I have no faith in the "news" (propaganda) media. News is nothing but someone's opinion and often it is a distortion of truth, suppression of truth, a twisting of truth and for which there are many other different opinions about the same issue from many other sources, for which you may never hear about. If you think television "news" is a source of integrity and truthfulness, you don't understand human nature. It is frequently a massive source of public propaganda, disinformation and misinformation, and television talk show hosts are often very, very obnoxious human beings.

I have no faith that armies are anyone's source of "security", because all military are sources of violence. I have no faith in "pastors", who although many may be sincere, others are con-artists for money purposes. Pastors are as confused about what is and what is not truth as anyone else on earth. Pastors are not your brain, nor are they intended to be controllers of anyone. I have no faith that "leaders"--whether secular or religious--necessarily make good or right decisions, or know what truth is. Some judges sitting in court rooms may be totally sincere and do their best and even believe in God, while others are clearly monsters who destroy lives. Some police may believe in Jesus Christ, and try to do what is right, while others tend to be sadistic and cruel (like using taser guns to stun people, and sometimes even kill people for minor reasons). I have no faith that governments tell the truth about anything.

On the other hand, I do have faith in Jesus Christ, even though many think Christ is a myth. Jesus Christ is the greatest Teacher the world has ever known. He harmed no one. He loved all people, even His enemies even though He reprimanded the religious hypocrites and lawyers for their evil. Unlike religious leaders, police, human judges, military, and people in power, Jesus never abused anyone, although He was greatly abused by the religious leaders of His day and falsely accused.

There is an incapacity for human beings in power positions to be able to see clearly, and consequently they are often very blind people. This is true in the world of churches, religions, and secular governments. The reason people in power are often blinded from doing right, from doing justice, and from really showing love, is because POWER BLINDS. If there is one thing in life that human beings are not equipped for, it is to RULE OVER their fellow man. This has been proven by life itself from the beginning of creation.

Man simply is not meant to DOMINATE or CONTROL his fellow man. Therefore, all church pastors who believe they have power or control over the Sheep of Jesus Christ are in serious error, and unfortunately they think they have "authority" based upon certain questionable scriptures that are very contrary to the teachings of Christ in the four Gospels. Those "scriptures" which power-mongers love to adopt for their power validity need to be seriously questioned about their authenticity.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for Jesus Christ to be the ONE and ONLY MASTER (Matthew 23:8), the ONE and ONLY SHEPHERD (John 10:11-16), the ONE and ONLY VINE (John 15:1-5), the ONE and ONLY LIVING WATERS (John 4:10-14), the ONE and ONLY BREAD OF LIFE (John 6:35), and the ONE and ONLY MEDIATOR between God and man, and at the same time, bow before human church leaders or even secular leaders, as if they were God.

The PURPOSE OF JESUS CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT in the lives of individuals is relationship with God Almighty/Father/Jesus Christ. Pastors, churches, human governments, and people in "leadership" are not and never will be either mediators or substitutes for Christ. If "pastors" are to be obeyed, then the Holy Spirit is neutered and neutralized in your life and you cannot hear the voice of your true Shepherd Jesus Christ, because you are hearing a man instead of God.

The VEIL was rent into so that you could enter into the PRESENCE of the Creator, have fellowship with the Father as God wants, and in which case no pastor has a right to stand between you and God, which they all do by the very existence of the professional clergy system of churchianity.

For unconverted people who are not yet born-again, they are witnessed to by disciples, but they are never meant to be controlled, dominated or ruled over by "full time pastors" as if the Holy Spirit cannot function in their lives without human overlords. The pastor system of churchianity is a mess, is very confusing, is very misleading and is not the church system established by Jesus Christ, even though the pastors proclaim it is. While pastors advocate local churches, the truth of the teachings of Jesus Christ is that there is ONLY ONE BODY and JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONE and ONLY HEAD OF THAT BODY. There is no other.

Christians are often derailed from the ONE WAY which is Jesus Christ by endless distractions, false teachings, and placing faith in men, in celebrity preachers, in rich and wealthy preachers, in megachurch pastors, in politicians who claim they are "Christian", and in such things as:
  • The Dead Sea Scrolls
  • Finding Noah's Ark
  • The lost "tomb" of Christ
  • The Bible "Code"
  • "End times"
  • "Last Days"
  • The "rapture"
  • "Left Behind"
  • Highly visible false prophets on television and their pathetic teachings
  • Y2K
  • The Shroud of Turin
  • "Infallible and inerrant "Bibles", for which there are hundreds of translations and no such thing as an "original".
All the books of the Bibles we know are simply a compilation of the writings of MANY DIFFERENT AUTHORS over a long period of time, and for which someone decided these writings should be consolidated into one volume and be called "the Bible." The authenticity and even the authorship of some of the writings of the Bible are very much in dispute among "scholars." The books of the Bible are also not in chronological order or sequence, for whatever reason, and therefore do not flow as historical documents should flow.

People will argue about "the Bible" as long as people believe in God, but the fact remains that "the Bible" is not Jesus Christ. Christ is the LIVING GOD ALMIGHTY and humans who pen writings are very fallible human beings. All I can say is that Jesus Christ nowhere ever said these words in His entire teaching ministry on earth: "The Bible is infallible and inerrant." Therefore for me personally, I have reservations about many things in "the Bible."

Hopefully the truth and the answers will someday be known, but I don't expect those answers in this lifetime. Neither "pastors" nor "scholars" can possibly know, no matter what they say and how emotionally charged they may be. The writings of "the Bible" are, we are told, thousands of years old, and to believe that God not only "inspired" every word and every story told in the "Bible" is for me, simply not believable.

As for example, did God tell the children of Israel to kill men, women and children and take their land in the OT? That is not believable on my part, simply because "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever," and Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace, and He also taught LOVE not WAR. There is such a difference between the individual who we are told is "God" in the OT and Jesus Christ in the New Testament, that I cannot comprehend the difference or accept many things about the OT. Salvation does not depend on whether you believe "the Bible" is "infallible and inerrant."

JOURNEY'S END comes for all tyrants, all nations, and all human beings. All nations are prisons of man's thinking. All religions (including churchianity) are prisons of man's thinking. TRUE FREEDOM will never exist in the human realm. Journey's end in the flesh, is the beginning of real life for all eternity for those who are in Jesus Christ--and that is the purpose of Christ.

Jesus Christ did not come to earth just so that His followers would "go to church", pay tithes and obey preachers. Jesus Christ came to give men salvation through repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to give men the Holy Spirit, and to reinstate His own into the very presence of the Father, by His willing crucifixion and destroying THE VEIL that disallowed one-on-one with the Father. There is no longer a VEIL preventing fellowship or relationship with the Father. All "veils" that exist now are simply veils in the minds of men, and they are only illusions of self deception.

JOURNEY'S END is the BEGINNING OF ETERNITY for many, and the DEAD END for some (Matthew 8: 11-12).
