Truth Is Sometimes--Shocking!

shocking by Van Robison

When Jesus Christ made His entrance into the human realm of life, nearly two thousand years ago, He SHOCKED the world. The expectation of the Messiah was very disappointing for many, because they were looking for a FICTIONAL Messiah. The REAL JESUS CHRIST is just as shocking today, as He was when He taught His own personal disciples. The religious leaders of the time of Christ were appalled at the teachings of Jesus. They were horrified by Jesus, because Jesus demolished their man-made customs, traditions, deceits, fraud, false teachings, false authority, greed, lust and power mongering (Matthew 23). The response of those religious leaders to Jesus was hate, persecution, attempted murder, lies, false accusations and ultimately death to Jesus Christ.

The common person and even the disciples of Jesus were astonished over and over and over with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Mark 10:24 "And THE DISCIPLES were ASTONISHED at His words..." Matthew 8:28 "And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, THE PEOPLE were ASTONISHED at His doctrine." Anyone can view all the times the word "astonished" is used in the four Gospels by checking the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Pure and simple--Jesus Christ is an ASTONISHING Teacher, Leader, Master, Savior, Mediator, Truth Teller, Example, Prince of Peace, Counselor and Messiah.

Jesus Christ is the CHAMPION of the poor, the down-trodden, the humble, the meek, the peacemakers, the pure in heart, the innocent, the just, the heart broken, the weary, the lonely, the hungry, the thirsty, the naked, the fatherless, the widow, the sick, the hurt, the crushed in spirit, the homeless, the prisoners, the war torn, the sinner, and little children. Jesus Christ IS the LIVING WATERS of life.

Jesus Christ is SHOCKING because His teachings and His life demonstrate the heart of our Father/Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is greatly misunderstood, misconstrued and misrepresented, not only by the world that has no comprehension of truth in Christ, but also by the world of supposed "Christianity." Churchianity has falsely represented Jesus Christ with "church" and countless man-made traditions and customs, that in fact, have absolutely nothing to do with the teachings of Christ. "Church", as we think of "church" was never the focus of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was totally purpose driven to do the will of the Father. He never spoke one word except what He heard of the Father. He never did anything except what He saw the Father do (John 5:19, 8:28). In fact the number of times that Jesus said "my Father" is amazing, and can be checked and verified through the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, because He referred to "my Father" many, many times in His teachings.

The reason that human beings are SHOCKED at the teachings of Jesus Christ is because the natural mind and thinking are worlds apart from the mind of Christ. Many pastors teach partial truth and partial error. Churches may have some truth, but practice customs and traditions that are totally man-made. For example, pastors bind people with heavy financial burdens by building physical buildings that have nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ. If Christians can be gathered into groups and kept in those groups, then the pastors can make a living by preaching, but is that what Jesus taught? Many think so. There is a vast difference between the FICTIONAL Jesus Christ of churchianity, and the REAL Jesus Christ of the four Gospels. The religious church world is full and running over with the traditions of men, including rituals, ceremonies, legalistic teachings, routines, programming, and other nonsense that binds, enslaves, and places people in bondage to men.

When REAL TRUTH was spoken as Jesus Christ proclaimed, virtually EVERYONE was STUNNED, SHOCKED, and ASTONISHED; and mouths were hanging open in utter amazement. If you think your pastor and your church know and understand the truth in Jesus Christ--think twice, because churchianity is in itself a man-made custom and tradition. You can verify this, by reading the teachings of Jesus in the four Gospels, and by thinking about what He taught as compared to the world of "church" as we know church today. REAL TRUTH will rock your comfort zone, rattle your cage, and stun you into some serious deep thinking, seeking, knocking, and asking for answers. The real source and oasis of spiritual truth is Jesus Christ, not churchianity.
