No More Tears
by Van Robison
Life is tough! Anyone who has lived
long enough will experience many tears in life. If
there is a human being who has never known sorrow, I
have never met that person. One of my all time
favorite scripture passages in the Bible is found at
Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes, and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any
more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Living in paradise will someday be more than a
fantasy.
Having hope in human ability to bring about a Utopian
existence is, I think, pure fiction; but there is a God who
is the Creator of all, that promises such a life. It is a
certainty that all men will die (Hebrews 9:27) , for it is
appointed once unto all men (sorry you rapture fans, there
is no detour). Thankfully there is life beyond the physical
body. Without that reality and hope, there is no place in
which to have hope or faith. All of human history has more
than proved that human beings are not capable of world
peace or love without wars and violence.
All most of us would want in life is to simply live in
peace, to love and be loved, to find fulfillment, meaning
and purpose. We all want to be happy, to be blessed, to be
sickness free, disease free, worry free, fear free. We want
our loved ones to be equally blessed in every way. But in
reality, how can there be paradise if even one individual
on planet earth is hurting? Empathy is a necessary quality
we all need. Compassion is the heart of God, for God is
love, even though human beings often cannot see love
expressed by God because of all the darkness and evil that
floods the earth.
In God's wisdom, the human journey through the valley of
tears and sorrows will surely result in everlasting
benefits. The promise of God is eternal life for those who
accept His Son Jesus Christ, who is the Father's greatest
gift the world will ever know. The Father/Jesus Christ gave
His all that all our tears and sorrows could be wiped away
forever. The sun will shine, because the Son is Light.
Jesus Christ will wipe away all your tears and replace all
your sorrows with gladness. It is God's guarantee and it is
a warranty that will last forever.
